The company was formed by the California legislature in 1996 to manage the high voltage transmission systems for PG&E, SCE and SDG&E, the California regulated utilities. The company runs real-time, day-ahead, imbalance and ancillary service energy markets for the Western United States as well as being the electric reliability coordinator. In connection with the 2001 energy crisis I was an expert witness in litigation between PG&E and Bonneville Power that went to the Supreme Court.

The company developed master planned residential communities and built and syndicated apartments throughout the Southwestern United States. As the controller I managed the accounting, tax, human resources and information technology departments.

1971-1984 various positions from staff accountant to audit partner for CPA firms: LKH&H in Los Angeles and Touche Ross and Porterfield & Co. in Sacramento. While at Touche Ross I was on the team that drafted the firm’s audit and financial reporting manual for governmental entities as well as serving on the Savings & Loan accounting and auditing committee of the California Society of CPAs.
